[narrator] The babies are playing
in the playroom today.

Franny and Bailey are drawing pictures.

What's that?

Oh, I'm drawing a flower.

What's that?

Oh, I'm drawing an apple.

What's that?

Peek-a-pop!

[Kip and Lulu laugh]

I peek-a-popped you!

Kippie, you're so silly!

Thank you!

I love being silly!

I love to walk silly!
And I love to talk silly!

[in a growly voice] Hello!

And I love to dance silly too!

Oh! Can we all dance silly?

Good thinking, Franny!

-Can you say "silly"?
-Silly!

-Can you say "dance"?
-Dance!

-Silly.
-Dance.

Silly, silly dance!

[clock ticks]

- [big kids] Time to eat.
-[all] Yay!

To the kitchen, silly style!

[all make silly noises]

Woohoo!

[excited chatter]

Where's the food?

No noodles?

There aren't even bowls.

[panicking] No bowls of noodles?

[narrator] Babies,
today we have a surprise.

Instead of eating in the kitchen,
we're going to have a picnic!

-A picnic!
-Outside!

Outside?

You don't want a picnic, Kip?

Nuh-uh.

But it's so fun to eat outside!

What's wrong, Kip?

Okay.

Let's have a picnic.

-Yay!
-Outside!

I'm gonna give it a try.

[babies gasp]

-Look!
-A picnic blanket!

A picnic basket!

And yummy sandwiches!

Okay.

I know I said I was worried about picnics,
but these sandwiches look...

Whoa! Whoa!

Kip, what's wrong?

Look! Bugs!

Those are just ants, Kip.

[Lulu] Yeah. Ants go march, march!

Yeah, but ants go march,
march right across my sandwich!

Don't worry.

Ants, follow Lulu!

March, march, march, march,

marchy, marchy, march, march.

It is kind of cool the way the ants
march in a line.

Yeah. Ants are amazing bugs!

You ready for your sandwich, Kip?

You know what?
I am! Thanks, Franny.

[yells]

What... what is that?

I think it's... it's a bee!

It's a bee!
That bee is going to sting my sandwich!

Kip, just stay still! The bee is
not going to sting your sandwich!

Bees just want you to leave them
alone so they can make their honey.

Well, I do love honey,

so I'll tell you what, Mr Bee...

you go make your honey,

and if you won't bother us,
we won't bother you!

I marched a lot. I'm hungry.

Oh, well that's good Lulu,

because we have yummy sandwiches for...

[yells]

Okay, what is that?

I don't know what kind of bug that is.

Do you, Franny?

No, but it sure is pretty.

And big!

Big and hungry for my sandwich!

I told you guys! I don't like bugs!
And I don't like picnics!

Kip! Wait!

Big kids,
let's go and see if Kip is alright.

[makes biting and chewing noises]

Kip, what are you eating?

There's no food here.

Hi Bailey. I wanted to eat inside,
even if there's no food.

You want a bite?

Kip, why don't you like bugs?

Er...

I don't know.

Remember when you used your words?

Yeah.

Well, maybe you could use some more words

to tell me why
you really don't like bugs?

Okay, Bailey.

I'm scared of them.

But bugs are so little, and you're so big.

[Kip gasps]

Yeah. Bugs are little. And I am big.

I bet bugs are scared of you!

Well, poor little bugs!
Well, I won't hurt them!

Well, come on! Let's go tell them!

-Yeah!

I like a little more jelly
than peanut butter...

Announcement every bug!

I will never hurt you.

I am big,
but I will be careful and gentle.

Wow. You sure are beautiful.

I wonder what kind of bug you are.

Hey, guys? What's the word for this bug?

Oh, great idea, Lulu!

[Bailey trumpets]

-[Franny] There he goes!
-There!

-Put it down.
-[Lulu] I put down my sandwich.

-Let's go!
-[Lulu] Okay!

[narrator] The babies are here to learn
words for different bugs, or insects.

Insect is another word for bug.

How did you know that, Franny?

Well, it's because I'm the oldest.

March! March! What's that, big kids?

[drum roll]

[big kids] Ant!

Ants march, march!

[babies giggle]

Oh! What's this insect called?

[drum roll]

[big kids] Bee!

Bees make yummy honey.

[Kip gasps]

That's my beautiful bug!
What's it called, big kids?

[drum roll]

[big kids] Dragonfly!

Dragonfly.

A cool name for a super cool bug!

We learned words, so...
