You're the big kids ♪

[narrator] The babies are in the kitchen,
finishing up their dinner.

Toot! Toot! Chugga, chugga, chugga,
chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga!

The last spoonful!

Heading for the station!

[chuckles and chomps]

-[laughing]
-[Kip] Yes!

Choo, choo, Kip!

Right, Lulu! I'm a choo-choo train!

[chuckles] And my bowl is clean!

-You're a good eater, Kip.
-Thanks!

Uh-oh. Our bottles are still full.

I wonder who can finish first.

[laughing]

[slurping]

-Done!
-Me too!

-Me three!
-Me me! [chuckles]

[sighing]

[hiccups] Oh, excuse me.

[gasps] Hey! It's Clickety Clock!

What time is it, big kids?

[drum roll]

[big kids] Time to sleep!

[yawning]

No bed. Caboose!

But it's bedtime, Lulu.

Oh, choo, choo!

And toot, toot, toot, toot!

Caboose!

[chuckles] Caboose! Caboose!

-Lulu really wants to ride on the train.
-Yeah!

But it's almost night.

No! Caboose!

Day is for play,
but, um, night is for sleep.

Caboose!

Oh, well, day and night are opposites.

Did you know that, Lulu?

[shouts] Caboose! Caboose! Caboose!

Whoa.
She really wants to ride on that train.

It's not nice to shout, Lulu.

Sorry.

Why don't we ask the big kids

if we can please take one more ride
before bed?

Yeah!

[drum roll]

Clickety Clock really wants us
to go to bed right now!

Time for sleep.

-Yeah.
-Let's go.

-[Franny] That was fun.
-[Kip] It was.

[Lulu] Yeah.

Oh, come on, Lulu.

No. Caboose! Caboose!

But Lulu, look outside.

It's night.

-Oh...
-And at night...

We are asleep.

In the day...

We are awake.

[Franny and Bailey] Okay?

Caboose!

Well, we'll play caboose tomorrow, Lulu.

Uh, right now, let's hop to bed!

-Come on! Yeah!
-Come on. Let's hop! Hop, hop, hop, hop!

Oh, I don't want to hop to bed.

[groans]

I wish I could stay on my caboose
all night long.

[gasps] Caboose!

[groans] No, Lulu.

It's still night. Time to be asleep.

[snores]

Oh, uh, Lulu, it's still night.

It's not time yet to be awake.

[yawns]

[groans]

Big kids, can you please tell Lulu
what time it is when it's dark outside?

[yawns]

[big kids] Time to sleep!

[yawns]

I go sleepy. Yeah.

[snoring]

[groans]

[chuckles]

[Kip groans]

I'm sorry, Lulu.

I'm too tired to be
a train engineer this morning.

Oh. Caboose!

I'm tired too, Lulu.

-We're all tired, Lulu.
-Yeah.

Why?

Because we didn't get enough sleep.

Why?

-Because you kept waking us up!
-Why?

[all three]
Because you wanted to play caboose!

Oh.

Um... Light, night?

Um, no, it's dark at night.

Dark is the opposite of light.

Dark, awake?

[chuckles] No, we're asleep
when it's dark, Lulu.

Asleep is the opposite of awake.

I don't know!

[narrator] I don't think Lulu
understands the words you're using.

Oh. Hmm, well, we should teach Lulu.

Oh! Good idea, Lulu!

Yeah!

-[all three] Word Wally!
-[trumpets]

-There he goes!

-We're coming!

[chuckles]

[laughing]

[drum roll]

[big kids] Day.

[drum roll]

[big kids] Night.

Well, when it's day, we are...

[drum roll]

[big kids] Awake.

Awake!

[laughing]

When it's night, we are...

[drum roll]

[big kids] Asleep!

Ah, asleep.

Day...

Oh, awake!

Night...

Asleep!

That's right, Lulu!

And now that you've learned the words,
it's time for a...

[all] Word party!
