(barks)

KIDS:

(croaks)

(whimpers)

(giggles)

KIDS:

(mooing)

(train whistle blows)

NARRATOR:
One day in Word World,

Cat was getting ready

for her daily catnap.

CAT:
Signed, "Cat."

NARRATOR:
Just then, Kangaroo stopped by

for a special delivery.

G'day! G'day! G'day!

What's this then?

"Closed for a catnap."

Signed, "Cat."

Huh? Crikey!

I'll just leave Cat's mail
right here,

so she can see it
when she wakes up.

(humming)

Ooh!

What could this be?

Let's see.

B...

O...

X.

KIDS:
Box!

(laughs)

Too right.

"Box!" You said it, mates!

(sighing):
Ah, well...

I've got more mail to deliver,

so I'll just be hopping off now.

See ya later, alligator!

Cat?!

Oh, Cat?!

NARRATOR:
Look, it's Bear...

and Sheep.

Caaaaaaaat?

Hey, Cat!

C-A-T, Cat!

Where are you?

We need some letters
from your junkyard!

Oh, what's this?

NARRATOR:
It was then that Bear saw
the note.

Signed, "Cat."

Huh?

That explains it.

Well, we'll just have
to wait

until Cat wakes up.

NARRATOR:
Neither Bear nor Sheep
noticed the box.

(gasps)
Box!

What box?

Where?

NARRATOR:
Right there!

BEAR & SHEEP:
A box!

Woo-hoo!

NARRATOR:
Both Bear and Sheep
were quite curious

when it came to boxes.

BEAR & SHEEP (chanting):
We found a bo-ox!

We found a bo-ox!

I wonder
what's inside.

Oh!

Let's open it and find out!

NARRATOR:
Wait!

That box belongs to Cat.

Kangaroo just delivered it
to her.

You really shouldn't open it.

(hums thoughtfully)

He's right you know.

We really should wait
for Cat to wake up.

Of course. Yes.

We can't open it.

No... no.

It's for Cat.

(chuckles nervously)

Although...
Yes?

Maybe we can guess
what's inside.

Yes!

There's no harm in guessing,
right?

(grunting)

Listen!

What's that?

Do it again!

(grunting)

NARRATOR:
Be careful, Bear, or you'll...

Oops.

NARRATOR:
...oh, break it.

SHEEP:
My my my,

look at that
"O" go...

NARRATOR:
Oh, dear-- a runaway "O"!

No need to panic!

We will catch that "O"

and put the box
back together!

(gasps)
An "O" hunt!

Yeah! I like it!

An "O" hunt!

(giggles)

Well, uh...

What are
we waiting for?

Let's go get that "O"!

NARRATOR:
And so the two friends headed

in the direction
the "O" had rolled,

which led them to Pig's barn.

Okay, Pig, here we go.
In...

four, three, two, one...

Bonjour, mes amis!

Welcome to Cooking
with Chef Pig.

(giggles)

(crowd cheering)

Today, we're making doughnuts!

(mechanical whirring)

Oh, yeah!

I can taste that round, doughy
goodness now.

(moaning)

SHEEP:
Psst!

(whispering):
Pardon...

Pig?

Oh, Sheep!

Bear, oh!

Ladies and
gentlemen...

two very special guests
have just arrived!

(cheering)

Uh...

Thank you, Pig...

but we really can't stay.

We lost an "O."

Have you seen it?

Hmm?

Lost an "O," huh?

Well, I don't know.

Ant?

Have you seen the letter "O"
around here?

The letter "O," huh?

Um, let's see.

Well, all doughnuts kind
of look like O's to me.

Although, there is that really
big doughnut over there.

(Sheep gasps)

The runaway "O!"

Catch it!

No problem. I've got it!

Wh-whoops.

Whoops.

That's one fast letter "O."

Ah!

No problem, Pig!

The "O" hunters are
on the job!

Come on, Sheep!

There's "O" hunting
to be done!

Dee-licious!

NARRATOR:
And so they chased
the runaway "O,"

over to the meadow...

where Dog was teaching Frog
how to hula hoop.

(panting)

Whoa.

That's really,
really good, Dog.

But I-I don't
think I can do it.

(barks encouragement)

All right...(croaks)

I'll give it a sh*t.

(sputters)

(sighs)

Oh, it's no use.

(giggling)

I'm... I'm doing it!

(barking)

Hey...

have you guys seen a letter
"O" around here?

No! Woo-woo-woo!

Hey, look-- there it is!

Frog, stop moving.

I can't!

We've got to catch that "O"
before Cat wakes up!

Come on, Sheep!

BEAR & SHEEP:
"O" hunters to the rescue!

(Dog barking)

NARRATOR:
And so they followed
the runaway "O" to Duck's dock.

♪ Oh, I'm a duck
who needs to swim ♪

♪ Needs to swim, needs to swim

♪ I hold my nose
and I jump right in ♪

♪ I jump right in,
I jump right in... ♪

Quack, quack! Okay, let's see.

Which floatie will it be today?

Hmm... quack, quack.

Hmm, that one's too small,

and that one is way too big.

(giggles and quacks)

But that one is just right!

Okay, here I go.

Cannonball!

Huh?

What happened?

This isn't my floatie!

Look! The "O"!

It's on Duck!

Um, Duck,

I don't mean to interrupt your,
um, your swimming fun,

but I do believe you are wearing

our runaway "O" around
your, um... bottom.

Well, I can't very well
go swimming with your "O."

Now, can I?

(grunting)

Huh?

(grunting)

Oh, it won't come off.

(grunting)

Help me.

Just pull.

Pull harder.

(grunting)

I'm a stuck duck.

(all grunting)

Quack.

(sighs)

There goes that "O" again.

(sighs)

Thanks for saving my tail.

I need it to swim.

B-Bye, Duck!

NARRATOR:
So the hunt
for the runaway "O" continued

down to the train tracks.

(barks)

(sniffs)

(train whistle blowing)

But the "O" was nowhere
to be found.

Or was it?

KIDS:
There it is!

Yes, there on the train.

Oh, no.

The train is leaving.

Come on!

"O" hunters
to the rescue!

NARRATOR:
And so the brave "O" hunters
chased the runaway "O"

all around Word World--

over hills, through tunnels,

across bridges--

until finally...

(grunts loudly)

Oh... got it.

(Cat yawns)

Huh?

Oh, dear, it's Cat.

She's waking up.

We have got to put these letters
back together.

Come on!

It's time to...

BEAR & SHEEP:
Build a word!

♪ It's time to build a word

♪ Let's build it,
let's build it now! ♪

BEAR:
B-O-X.

KIDS:
Box!

SHEEP & BEAR:
♪ Yeah, we just built a word

♪ We built it, we built it!

(yawns)

Oh, hello.

What are all of you doing here?

SHEEP & BEAR:
Oh, uh, nothing.

(gasping):
What's this?

A box for me?

Oh, I'll just bet I know
what this is.

My "O"s.

They're finally here.

I just ran out.

SHEEP & BEAR:
"O"s?

Yes, "O"s.

See?

Oopsie.

Runaway "O"s.

Can you guys help me catch them?

SHEEP & BEAR:
Oh... no.

(Dog barking)

Was it something
I said?

NARRATOR:
Well, it's a long story, Cat,
a story that, it seems,

will continue to follow
the further adventures

of the round, rolling,
runaway letter "O."

(barks)

(barks, pants)

(music playing)

(tapping paws to music)

(music stops, Dog barks)

KIDS:
Horn!

(tapping paws

(Narrator sounds out)

KIDS:
Hat!

(Dog barking)

Ta-dah!

(panting)

NARRATOR:
A birthday hat?

Dog, is it your birthday?

(Dog barking, panting)

Well, happy birthday, Dog.

(Dog barking)

That's a good idea, Dog.

Go and tell everyone.

(Dog barks)

(panting)

So Dog went off to tell
his friends it was his birthday,

but they already knew

and were planning
a very special surprise for him.

Okay, everyone,
now listen up.

We're going to surprise
Dog at his house

with the best
birthday party ever.

Oh... a surprise party.

I love it.

But, uh, how do we do it?

Huddle up.
First of all,

we can't tell
Dog about it.

He has to be
surprised.

Oh, that goes
for you, too.

NARRATOR:
Me?

Well, of course.

I can keep a secret.

(laughing):
Thanks.

Okay.

Sheep, you get
the party hats.

Will do.

Bug, you spread
the word.

I'm on it. Beep, beep!

I'll get the
balloons.

And, oh, Frog, you have the
most important job of all.

Ribbit.

Me?

Yes.

You are in charge
of... the cake.

SHEEP, FROG & BUG:
Ooh, the cake.

Got it.

We'll all meet
back at Dog's house

before he gets
home to set it up.

ALL:
Break!

Remember, we don't
have much time.

Oh, boy.

Stop!

(sputters)

(groans)

NARRATOR:
Just then,
Dog arrived at Bear's cave.

(barking):
Bear!

Oh, Bear!

(puzzled barking)

(sighs sadly)

NARRATOR:
Don't worry, Dog,
you'll find her.

Little did Dog know
that Frog was on a mission

to find him a birthday cake.

I'll go to Pig's barn
to see if he has a cake.

Pig loves to make cakes.

(whispering):
Three, two, one.

You're on, Pig.

(music starts)

♪ Bonjour, mes amis ♪

♪ It's Chef Pig on TV

Hi, Mom.

♪ From A to Z, you'll be cooking
with Chef P-I-G. ♪

(snorts)

Bonjour, mes amis!

Welcome
to Cooking with Chef Pig.

I'm the star of the show,
Chef Pig.

(click)

(applause)

Oh, merci!

(croaks):
Pig!

Pig, I need your help.

Hey, everyone. Look!

It's my good pal, Frog.

(gulps)

(croaks)

our audience, Frog.

Frog, he's telling

So tell me, Frog,

why have you stopped
by my kitchen today?

Pig, today is Dog's birthday,

and we need a cake
for his surprise party.

(gasps):

Let's see, uh...

look at that!

Oh, thank goodness.

(sniffs)

(burps)

He ate the cake.

(sighs):

(panting)

(barks inquisitively)

(sniffing)

I'm sure you'll find
your friends.

(whines)

(whimpers)

NARRATOR:
Just at that moment,

Dog's friends were turning up
at his house

all at the same time.

I have the balloons.

Okay, here are the party hats.

(singsongy):
We're going to Dog's party.

We're going to Dog's party.

(ribbits)
(oinks)

(sighs)

(all gasping)

Oh, no!

(screaming, groaning
and grunting)

Oh, no!

Oh, no!

The cake!

No! The cake is ruined.

ALL:
Oh, no!

Dog will be here any minute!

Everybody panic!

(all screaming)

Don't worry, Frog.

We still have
all the letters.

I can make that cake
as good as new.

Wait.
Pig, do you mind if I try?

I think I remember how to...

build a word!

ALL:
Build a word?
(music begins)

♪ It's time to build a word

♪ Let's build it,
let's build it now. ♪

"C," "Ake."

KIDS:
Cake!

ALL:
♪ Yeah, we just built a word

♪ We built it
We built it. ♪

(all cheering)

Dog's going to love this cake.

I don't mean to alarm
everyone, but, uh,

isn't that
Dog coming now?

Quick! Everyone inside and hide!

NARRATOR:
Oh, Dog, have you given up
looking for your friends?

(sniffs):
Mm-hmm.

(howls sadly)

No, Dog, I'm sure they remember
it's your birthday.

I have a feeling your birthday

is going to get
a whole lot better.

(moans)

(sighs sadly)

ALL:
Surprise!

Huh?

(barks happily)

(Bear laughs)

Happy Birthday!

(licking)
(laughter)

Blow out your candle, Dog.

(blowing)

(laughter)

Mm-mmm!

D-Dog! Dog...

um, share the cake,
don't eat the cake.

NARRATOR:
So Dog's birthday
turned out to be

one very special day, indeed--

as yummy as his cake.

(slurping)
