Previously on The Amazing Race,"

Let's go!

families set out from Huntsville, Alabama

for Talladega Motor Speedway,

We gotta pedal?

where they pedaled as a team around the track.

Out of the way!

The Weaver family, whose father was k*lled in a race car accident,

didn't want to go.

Talladega Super Speedway--No, Mommy, we can't!

Phil: But their mother's leadership...

Your daddy liked racing.

Just let it go! You're above all this.

Phil: helped them through the finish.

Whoo!

Stassi and her father argued over directions.

I'm exploding right now.

You are upsetting me so much.

Phil: And Stassi broke down.

Phil: Then they got lost right outside their hometown of New Orleans.

Dad that was really far back. There is no excuse for that.

Let's moon them.

Phil: The Linz family got an eyeful from the Bransens.

At the "Detour," the Gaghans were down on their luck.

We wasted so much time here.

So, what do you want to do?

I don't know.

Let's go.

Phil: While the Paolos' teamwork paid off.

But it was the Bransens who were first to the mat.

You are team number one.

And in the end, the Schroeders'

poor navigation cost them the race.

Schroeder family, you have been eliminated from the race.

Now families remain.

Who will be eliminated next?

Phil Keoghan: This is New Orleans.

The big easy.

A city famous throughout the world

for jazz, great food, and Mardi Gras.

And in the heart of New Orleans, the French quarter.

This -year-old enclave was the fourth pit stop in "The Amazing Race."

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The six teams waiting here

have no idea what's in store for them.

Will the Gaghans be able to overcome a near loss

and pull out of last place?

And will the Weavers continue

to find strength as a family and surge ahead?

The Bransen family, who were first to arrive at : p.m.,

will depart at : a.m.

Fly to Panama City, Panama.

Oh, my gosh.Whoo-hoo!

Phil: Teams must now fly more than , miles

to the Central American country of Panama.

When they land, they must make their way miles

to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute,

where they will travel by boat across the Panama Canal to this island.

Once there, they must search for a scientist named Ricardo Diaz

who will give them their next clue.

Let's go.

We're so excited to leave the country.

Dad, come on.

Being in a situation where we're all equals

is obviously very different for me.

I mean, I'm used to it being, you know, Dad, can you do this for me?

But on the race, they're carrying me, I'm not carrying them.

So I'm real proud of them.

Fly to Panama City, Panama.

Guess what, we're finally going out of the country.

What did you do with the additional information, Mom?

I had it.Give me this.

I feel as a mother,

you have to take the punches and, you know, deal with it.

My ideal situation by the end of this race would have D.J.

put his arms around me and say I love you, Ma.

We have to get a cab, Ma.

Fly to Panama City, Panama.

Let's go.Excelente.

We're getting out of the country, girls.

I'm not a strong as my brothers,

I definitely think that my physical fitness is my weakness,

which is a huge weakness for a team.

I know when to put my backpack down and give it to them.

I know I'm slowing us down.

She does her best. And that's all we ask for.

Hey, you know where we can find a big van taxi?

Panama.Is everybody excited?

I hope we can check out -year-old girls.

That's the wrong Panama City, isn't it?

You're an idiot.

Here's one. Let's go!

Let's go. OK.

I think we need to get to the airport.

Do you have a cell phone I could borrow, sir?

All right. Thank you very much.

Continental arrives at : p.m.,

American, we arrive :.

We should definitely go with Continental.

This sucks.

What the hell is going on?

Oh, there it is.

We have to go to Louis Armstrong.

Got everything?

Make sure you put everything back in the bag.

Let me take care of this.Just remember,

if you have it, D, if you lose it--

Just please be quite now, please.

Great, right here. Thank you.

One's Continental, other one is something else.

Let's try Continental.

Here it is.

Looks like we're the first ones here.

None of these are even open.

No one's there. We got to just sit in line.

There it is.

Someone's already here.

The Linzes.They are here.

Hi, girls. We called.

What time does that flight get in?

:.

The other one is at :. Nice.

So we want to be on this one.

Welcome to Armstrong International Airport.

Come on, let's go.They're ahead of us.

Did you guys get the ticket?

You can't, no one's here.

Fly to Panama City, Panama.

Awesome.

You guys, we got to get to the streetlight and look at the map.

I have to convince my sisters to listen to me.

I may be bossy, but my ideas are also the best.

So we've got to go straight and to the right.

Is this an airport shuttle?

Hey! Start waving your arms.

Yo, yo, yo!

We really got to get to the airport quickly.

Panama?

Get on one of the main streets to find a taxi.

We're all here as a family.

We're here as our own group, our own team.

I understand alliances, I know they might help, but it's stupid.

Here's a taxi.

Could you take us to the international airport?

Yeah.Come on, let's go.

Fly to Panama City, Panama.Let's go.

Come on, guys. Billy, come on.

We're feeling pretty confident.

Our strategy on the previous leg was just to get ahead of one team

and we were able to do that, and that's gonna be our strategy again.

Better to be second to last than eliminated.

Taxi. Mom, you sit there.

Let's go to Continental first, OK?

OK.

Put your backpacks on.

All right, let's go.

Is this the flight we want to get?

Well, this one's the earlier flight.

Thank you.

Hey, hey, hey, hey.

Do you think we'll get on this flight?

I'm real excited to go to Panama.

I'm excited finally that we're getting out of the U.S.

OK, so let's see what time the arrival times are.

There they are right there. I see them.

Last in line, five other teams ahead of us.

Can I help you?

Got my brothers and sister here,

we'd like to book some tickets on to Panama.

I have a feeling we're not gonna get on.

OK? Thank you.

As soon as they're sold out, we got to go.

Hi. We need four tickets to Panama City, please.

Do you want me to do it or you want to do it?

I got it.

You got it. You're doing everything?

Nobody can do anything but you.

Don't forget to say you need tickets.

Yeah, Ma, I know. I'm not Ret*rded.

Thank you.

Great. Thank you very much.

Shut up about it.

If you're going to argue, step out of line.

Take it elsewhere, please.

We need four tickets.

He's just absolutely cruel to you.

This is being nice.

What are you doing? Be nice to your mom.

Yeah, you got to be nice to me.

I haven't been that bad.

Thank you.Take care.

Tickets to Panama, please.

It is full. The flight is full.

OK. Go, go, go. Go, go, go. Go!

Mom, come on.

Hi. We'd like to have tickets to Panama.

Good morning. We need to get four tickets to go to Panama, please.

Four tickets to Panama City.

OK, thank you.

We're still at the back of the pack.

We got our seats.Wonderful.

We'd like four tickets to Panama.

Here you go. Four tickets. Have a nice flight.

Thank you very much.Thank you.

Golly!

Phil: All six teams are now headed to Panama City, Panama.

The first flight carries the Linz family,

the Bransen family, and the Paolo family.

The second flight carries the Gaghan family,

the Godlewski family, and the Weaver family.

Taxis? Touristas?

Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

Si?

We need the same thing. Same.

The Smithsonian Institute.

No, from now on, you just mind your own business.

Dad. Dad.

Do you know where we're going?

I love the fact that you speak Spanish.

[Speaking Spanish]

What did he say?

I can't tell.

[Speaking Spanish]

I think the other team is in front of us.

The Cincinnati boys.

Paso, paso!

[Speaking Spanish]Beautiful.

They passed us.

Holy crap!

Rapido, por favor.

Gracias.

If anyone ever would have told me I'd be in Panama with my mother

crossing a river with crocodiles,

I'd tell them they were out of their minds.

Smithsonian, yes.

Unbelievable.

We have to find the boat now. Marked boat.

I don't know if there are any marked boats here.

Ma.What?

First boat departs at : a.m.

Are you kidding?

We are sleeping out tonight, fellas.

The other teams are gonna catch up.

There's water.

Los alligators in la agua?

Si, si, si. Si, si, si.

Nice.

Si. Instituto.

There's people right there, Nick.

Let's roll.

The place opens at : a.m.

What does that sign say?

Yes, Institute de-- whatever.

Gracias.

It doesn't open until :, so just get in line.

We could sleep in here.

Out there, to your left.To the left.

Let's get a cab.

Rapido.

This way, this way, this way.

Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

Right here. Right here?

Hola.

Habla ingles?

Burrito?

Conquistador.

Conquistador.

It's OK, we'll catch up.

El speedo.

OK, we're here, you guys.

Come on.OK, let's get out.

We need the marked boats on the dock.

Oh, my God, we caught up.

Hello!

So we're going to go in the order that we arrived here.

So we're four, right?

OK, so we're here?

They're all in that building right behind us.

We caught up good. Be happy.

Good job.

There's people here.

This is where we're sleeping, right?

We caught up with them, thank God.

I guess this is it.

Keep the order.Yep, that's it.

Ma, just sit down.

Vamanos!

Dad, shut up.

Whoo!

Jeez.

I'm looking for a dude in a hammock.

Whoa!

Put your life vests on.

Dad, you're on my thing.

Dad, lift your foot up.

Buenos dias, amigo.

Por favor, rapido when you can.

Look at our guy. He's not even ready to go.

Hello, my friend.

Who calls back seat? I do.

Beautiful.Enjoy that view.

That is gorgeous.

Is this our boat?

Hola.

Andale, andale!

Yeah! Whoo-hoo!

This is unbelievable.

We are on the Panama Canal, boys.

Vamos!

Are we getting passed?

Look!

Come on, bro.

Can you go any faster?

Yeah!

Whoo-hoo!

Oh, my God!

Catch that boat. Catch that one.

Oh, yeah, here we go.

Oh, my God!

We got the slow boat, we need the fast one.

Come on, driver!

Yes, yes!

Yes, the Florida just passed us by.

Oh, great.

That's not fair.

Come on!

Son of a bitch!

Rapido!

Come on!

Where are you going?

No, no, no, pick up nobody.

No, no, we're in a race!

Oh, my God.

Oh, my goodness!

Please!

We're going the wrong way.

We're in a race. You cannot pick up.

Please, we're in last place.

Please.

Thank you. Oh, my goodness.

Can you believe that? Oh, my goodness.

That was a scare.

Got to search for a scientist.

What's his name?Ricardo Diaz.

OK, let's go.

Where the hell are we gonna look?

All right. Thank you.Thank you.

Let's go up to the left.

Gracias, senor.

Go, girls, go, go.

Thank you.Gracias.

We can't waste time, dammit.

You better wake up, Ricardo. We're coming.

Are you Ricardo Diaz?

No, I'm not.

Dammit.

Thank you.

Left or right? Left.

Oh, my gosh.

Are you Ricardo Diaz?No?

Keep going, you guys. There's got to be another guy.

How cool is this?

This isn't necessarily the right way.

Dad, can you run or no?

I don't know.

Ricardo?

Do you have any clue?

Come on, let's go.OK. Thank you.

Let's go, guys.

Are we the last ones here?

No, there's one boat behind us.

Can the boat go any faster?

No, he's got it all the way floored.

Oh, here's the guy.

Are you Ricardo Diaz?

Oh, my God. OK, girls! Girls!

There's a Fast Forward.

We won't need it.We're already in first place.

Detour.

A detour is a choice between two tasks,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour, teams have to choose between Rhythm and Coos.

In rhythm, teams travel by Red Devil bus,

known in Spanish as Diablo Rojo, to this neighborhood,

Cosco Viajo.

Once there, they must visit several locations

to collect four different musical instruments--

a trumpet, a trombone, saxophone, and a conga drum.

Once a team has all four instruments,

they must deliver them on foot to a club called Take Five Jazz and Wine,

where the bandleader will give them their next clue.

In Coos, teams travel by Red Devil bus

to El Parque Metropolitano

and use binoculars to search the rainforest canopy

for wooden replicas of five local birds.

They must circle their discoveries on this aviary chart

and present it to this bird expert,

who will give them their next clue.

However, if they circle the wrong birds,

they will have to repeat the task until they get it right.

Come on, let's go.

Bird watching.

It's going to take us too long.

We're going to do the instruments.

It's up here. It's up here. It's up here.

Ricardo Diaz?Right here. Read it.

Detour.

This is the only Fast Forward hidden on the entire race.

The first family that finds it and completes it

can skip all tasks and go directly to the pit stop.

In this Fast Forward, teams make their way

to the Pacific side of the Panama Canal

and find this crane on pier .

Once here, they will split into pairs

and each pair will perform a tandem bungee jump

feet to the water below.

The first family to do this will win the Fast Forward.

Let's go for the Fast Forward.

Let's do it. Let's do it.

Ricardo?

I'm Ricardo Diaz. Here's your clue.

I think we ought to do the birds.

That's fine. We can do that.

I know we'll do good at it.

Man. Oh, my God, last one.

Come on, Billy. Come on.

Ricardo Diaz? Thank you.

Detour.Skip the Fast Forward?

Yeah. We're gonna do the bird watching.

Let's go. Catch up!

What's up, dude?

I say instruments.

Yeah, everybody cool with the instruments?

I think it's gonna be faster.

Let's go.

I hear monkeys.

Ricardo.

How are you?

Fast Forward.Bungee jumping would be fun.

OK, let's do the Fast Forward.

Can you tell us where the buses are?

It's surrounded by water, you guys.

This is an island. That's right.

There's no other way off.

This is an island. We knew that.

So back on the mainland.

Hurry up, guys. Hurry up.

Quick, quick.

Where's our boat driver?

Rapido, por favor.Muy importante.

Andale! Andale!

We need to be quick.

Let's go. There they are.

Let's go, let's go, let's go. Come on, man.

Hey, go slow!

Bitch.

Dad, you doing good?

Yeah. Where are we going?

Get on. Rapido.Yeah?

Watch this stair here.

Where's our boat driver?

What's our-- our guy is--come on!

Go! We got to go!

Rapido, rapido!

Who's that?Florida.

Faster, faster, faster.

We're passing somebody!

Yay! Andale! Andale! Andale!

Whoo! Whoo!

Go give him bucks, maybe he'll go faster. Here.

Rapido, we gotta b*at them.

These guys are passing us like we're standing still.

Rapido, rapido!

Come on!

The other ones are passing us, too.

Nice! Is the Florida team the one right in front of us?

I think in front of us.

There you go.

That is the Florida team.

Yay!

Very nice. Bueno!

They're just weird, dude.

We got to get to the buses.

Where's he going?Estupido.

Do we know where we're going?

We're gonna go to the ladies.

Follow them.

I think we passed our dock.

Wow!

We're letting the other teams catch up.

Let's go back. Go back.

Hurry up! Vamanos! Come on!

Come on, come on, come on.

Guys, that's Wally and the girls.

Did you guys see the other teams come here?

No. Come on, let's go.

As fast as we can go, guys.

Come on, guys.

They're all getting off there.

God, we passed it.

Look at this. This is where they got off.

I knew we went too far.

Ahh!

Andale! Andale! Andale! Muy bien!

Adios, amigo.Adios.

We got to catch up to the other people.

Hasta luego. Let's go, guys.

Adios.

Where'd they go?

That looks like a bus over there.

Come on, come on.

What's the Fast Forward?

Puerto del Balboa. You know?

OK. Rapidamente.

Rapido!

We each get our own bus?Yes.

OK, let's do the Fast Forward.

There's the New York team, stick behind them.

Hola.

Look at these bus-- this is hilarious.

Don't know anything about birds.

Hopefully they're not gonna be that hard to spot.

You guys, I'm sure those other teams

are gonna do the Fast Forward.

We're going to do the instruments.

So were we.We can all work together.

For sure. And let's get these Florida people out of here.

Yeah, let's frickin' get rid of them.

She tried to tell our guy to slow the boat down.

Oh, my God, they're rude.

There's buses up here. Here we go.

This way.

Now we need to go to where?

Casco Viejo.

Hola. Rapido, por favor.

Let's roll, donkey.

We're trying to get to Casco Viejo.

El Parque Metropolitano.

Yahoo!

Here we come, baby!

Dad, does this b*at picking up garbage?

This is a lot easier.

I'm proud to say that my dad is a garbage man.

He's been a hard worker all of his life.

I wanna do it for the boys of Bronx East , baby.

This is a crazy bus.

Oh, yeah, much better than my school bus.

Are you ready? Give me five.

I want to go first.

Are you ready to bungee jump, Billy?

Can I get out and talk to this girl?

Do you know how to get to El Parque Metropolitano?

You can come with?Yeah.

Can I get out and go dedede after that car?

Hola. Donde es El Parque Metropolitano?

Tell him to follow me. I'm going in that direction.

OK, thank you!

Why don't we hire a taxi and he can follow the taxi?

Donde es Casco Viejo?

We follow you and you take us.

Here are the pink ladies.

They just paid the taxi.

The taxi is going to take them there.

Go in front of the bus.

OK, let's go.

[Speaks Spanish] Taxi.

[Speaking Spanish]

Follow them.

We're the first team here to do this bungee jump.

The one fear I have is heights.

Oh, my God.

Hey, bring it on.

Remember, you said you're the man.

I'm a girl. I'm no good. I can't do nothing,

you're doing it without a doubt.

I feel like I'm going to pass out.

I'm a little nervous right now.

We really need a little bit of luck right now.

I see the other bus.

Where? It's up there.

It's the other team! We can b*at them.

Stop, stop, stop!

Come on, come on. Hurry up.

OK, run, Tammy. Run as fast as you can.

Go, go, go!

Where do we go?

Whoa, Tammy, Tammy!

Where do we go?Come on, you got the clue.

We have to get the ticket. Have to get the ticket.

Number one, let's go.

They got it first before us.

There's no way they'll do it, they're going to be scared.

We'll give it a sh*t.

Holy smokes! Look at this!

Oh, my God.Come on, let's go.

I don't like heights, man!

Oh, my God!

Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

Oh, my God.

Look straight ahead, then you go down.

They're gonna do it.

They might chicken out.

That's all we can hope for,

is that one of them doesn't want to do it.

We can't let them have a sh*t at this.

If we don't do it, then the next team gets to do it,

so we have to do it.

Oh, my God. I don't like heights.

No! Shut up with these questions, please.

OK, here we go. Step on out. Oh, my God.

OK, ready?

Three, two, one, bungee!

Whoo!

Oh, baby! Whoo!

I don't know how they just did that.

Oh, man.

This was unbelievable!

Unbelievable!

I love you!

All right!

They did it. Oh, man.

Bill, Tammy, Billy, and Carissa were waiting for us to screw up.

And we can't screw up.

You nervous, son?Yes. Stop.

Will you take it easy?

This sucks.

Unbelievable.

The one thing I didn't want to do is have to bungee jump.

It's only a split second when you think about it.

Let's do it. Come on!

It's not bad! Come on, do it!

Wait, wait, wait.

I cannot move right now. Do you understand?

I can't do it. Never in a million years.

That's it, Ma.

I have a fear of heights. I can't do it.

Never in a million years.

That's it, Ma.

If we chicken out, we're done.

There's no way they're going to do it.

Come on, D, it's not bad. Let's go!

Just take the first step, it's easy.

After that, it's all gravy.

Three, two, one.

Bungee!

[Screaming]

Yeah, baby!

Son of a bitch! Damn.

We have to go to Casco Viejo.

We have to get four instruments and bring it to a jazz club.

Hopefully we're still in this.

Whoo!

That was good, huh? I felt the kiss.

This big mouth mush, that we always fight.

See, he loves me.

That's what I wanted to get out of this, my son to love me.

That's it.

Congratulations.

Congratulations, you won the Fast Forward reward.

Phil: Having completed the Fast Forward,

the Paolo family can proceed directly to the Miraflores Locks,

the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal

and the pit stop for this leg of the race.

This way. This way out.

My legs are like jelly.

Is this it?Where are we going?

Should I go with her?

[Indistinct]

OK, I don't understand you.OK? OK.

We have no idea what we're doing.

The lady just had us take her to work.

This is a disaster.

Parque Metropolitano.

Yes!

Hasta luego.

We need to find five birds.

Is this it?

Reference sheet. Binoculars.

That's a billion bunch of birds.

That's OK.We only need five.

I don't see one bird.

I don't know how to make these things work.

They make me dizzy.

There's one right here.

This is it. We got one.

All right, let's do this bird. He's got a white face,

red tail.Like this?

I think that's right.

Oh, wrong way.

There's one. Red and yellow.

Ooh, the blue one.

[All cheering]

I always wanted to be a bird watcher.

Is it a toucan?

It's either this one or this one or this one.

It's got orange on the beak underneath the yellow.

Which one?

This is it here, right?Yeah.

All right, we have five.

Try this. I think it's OK.

Please, please, please, please, please, please.

Oh, gosh!

Is this the sign here?Oh, yeah.

OK, let's go.

Here we are, you guys. The Weavers.

They b*at us.

Where are the binoculars? She's got 'em.

Are you focusing on the black one with yellow, Lindsay?

That looks like a toucan.

Black for the main part?Yeah.

We're looking at the white bird now.

That white one has a little bit green underneath the neck.

It's that one.That one.

Let's stick with that one.

Straight ahead in that tree.

I see--yeah, there's all kinds.

We are here.

This is it.

Rhythm detour.

Yo! You guys, we got to work together.

Trumpet, trombone, saxophone, conga drum.

Teatro Nacional is one of the places we need to go to.

This way, you guys.

There's the saxophone, grab one.

Get two of them.

Look out, Phil, here we come.

The Miraflores. This is it.

Over here. Come on, come on, come on.

Right here, right here, right here.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's up here.

Hello, Phil!

Welcome to Panama.

Thank you.Thank you very much.

Paolo family--

Yes.

You are team number one.

Now, I have some good news for you.

Oh, good news?

As the winners of this leg of the race,

you have won a trip for four from travelocity to Panama,

staying at the luxurious Gamboa Rain Forest Resort,

which is right on the Panama Canal.

You can celebrate your win.

And I'm gonna enjoy Panama.

Did you ever in a million years

think that you would go bungee jumping with your parents?

I don't even like going out to eat with my parents.

Yeah, and he actually kissed me on the way down.

Me and my mother always argue all the time.

So to do that with her was kind of special.

It is nice to have a moment like that with D.J.

It just takes one little kiss like that

to make you feel they really love you. They do.

She's my baby.

Look for toucan and black.

Is it not the same one?

For some reason, I don't think that's one of them.

Oh, now I see it!

Yeah, it's hard.

Erase that one, try that one.

All right, we're back.

Thank you!

Travel by Diablo Rojo to Estadio Juan Demostenes Arosemena.

Phil: Teams must now travel two miles to this baseball stadium,

Estadio Juan Demostenes Arosemena,

and search the grounds outside the stadium for their next clue.

Come on. Thank you! Bye!

Don't focus on them, you guys.

It's one of those, like, talking birds.

Its main tail is red

with yellow at the bottom.

OK, we got it.

It's green head, red body.

It's got a white beak.

That one? Yeah.

Redhead, yellow collar, all green under.

We should have five.Yeah, we do.

Excuse me.

Travel by Diablo Rojo--

Rapido, rapido, rapido.

Escuela!Escuela. Right here.

Simon Bolivar.

All right, Alex, go.

I got them, I got them!

Come on, guys.

We work really good as a team, you guys.

Seriously.

Casa Gongora. Right here on the left.

Drums!Gettin' it!

Whoo! You guys will grab one for us?

Get it.Thank you.

We need a trombone.Trombone.

Hi, doggy!

OK, we're looking for the Art Institute.

It's here.

Yeah, boy, we got to get the trombone.

Excellent.

Harumph!

Let's go. We're almost done.

We have to go to the jazz bar.

There's parking right there.

Find a little friend. You help us?

We are in last place. Oh, right here, it's open.

That looks like a saxophone to me, kids.

Good job, Mommy.

We're not out of this yet.

We're going to make Tricia make out with one of you guys.

Take five. Here we go, guys.

Oh, my gosh!

This is sweet.

Awesome.

Get four cases, and we can figure it out.

It's like a puzzle.

Which way does it go?

This goes in here. Wait. Hold on. Then this one.

Is that it?Done, done.

Where's the clue?

We got it. We got all four.

Travel by Diablo Rojo to Estadio Juan Demostenes.

Once there, search the outside area for your next clue.

Let's go!Back to our busses!

This way. Across the street.

How you guys doing with your instruments?

Good. Oh, here we are. Here we are.

Hey, come on, guys.

Trombone, out this way.

This is pretty fun.OK, let's trot.

We have to deliver all the instruments to the jazz club.

OK, guys.

There's the stadium.

Here we are. Here's the clue box.

Roadblock.

A roadblock is a task that only one person may perform.

In this roadblock, that person has to play the most popular

American sport in Panama, baseball.

Strike!

One team member must step to the plate

and get a base hit or home run

off a championship Little League pitcher.

Each player will get a maximum of three pitches per turn at bat.

If they don't get a hit, they go to the end of the line.

When they do finally get on base,

the umpire will give them their next clue.

Who can hit?

Rolly!

Oh, great. This little kid's going to strike me out.

Come on, Rolly.

Focus, buddy. Focus.

Come on, Rolly.Oh, great.

Eye on the ball, Rolly.

Oh, crap.

Parking.

Guys, over here.

Roadblock.

Who can hit in a pinch?

I'll do it.What do you think?

Stick your bottom out!

Come on, buddy.

Come on, Beth!

The chica! Be nice.

Be nice to her.

Beth, swing away.

We could be here all day.

Gracias.

Come on.

Here it is.

The race is on.

Who can hit in a pinch?Nick.

I want you to hit that, dude.

I've played baseball.

Come on, Rolly.

[Yelling]

Hey, batter, batter, batter. Swing, batter.

You guys, hush!

We're encouraging everyone.

Yeah!

Make your way to the next pit stop.

Phil: Teams must now travel five miles to the Miraflores Locks,

the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal.

This majestic gateway is the pit stop for this leg of the race.

The last family to check in here may be eliminated.

Let's go. Yes!

Andale! Andale! Andale!

They were so rude to yell to Rolly.

We were encouraging. That is mean.

I thought a conga drum would be much smaller.

Here's take five, right here.

This is cool.

Awesome, man.

Saxophone is right there.

Trumpet is way over there, sweetie.

There we go.

OK, that one's good. Are we good?

Whoo!

Travel by Diablo Rojo--

we're still in this, guys, we're still in this.

You can do it, Beth.

Rip it, Beth.

Be ready.

Keep positive, that's all you need.

Just smack it up the middle.

It's all right. One more.

Keep your head on it, you got it.

Yeah!

Thank you very much, sir.

Good luck, you guys.

Good luck, hit it hard.

Make your way to the next pit stop.

All right, come on. Let's go.

You got to get a base hit, dude.

Come on, Nick!

There you go. Get there, Nick.

Come on, Nick. Yeah!

Thank you.

Thank you.

Make your way to the next pit stop.

Nice.Let's go.

That's gonna be tough for those girls.

Hopefully those chicks don't get eliminated.

I would have told her to screw herself.

That was fun to do that.

Thank you for running so hard, Carissa.

I see it, it's up here.

Nice eyes, Carissa.

OK, right there. Go, go, go.

It's a roadblock. I'm going to do it.

Marathoners just showed up,

so we got to whack this ball and get out of here.

Sharon, you can do this.

There's no way I could even hit them.

OK, stay with it, you'll get it, Shar.

Come on, Bill, this is your chance, man!

Dad is a good player. He's strong.

He's played baseball with me.

I think he can do really good in this.

Come on, Dad, stay focused. Come on, Daddy.

Excellent! Whoo!

Yeah!

That's what I'm talking about.

Oh, man.

Thank you so much.

Make your way to the next pit stop.

I knew it. Dad, you did good.

You did awesome, Bill. We're still in it.

Whee doggies.

It feels so good to come back from the bottom like that.

Come on, Sharon, you can do this!

Come on, Sharon, cr*ck that ball.

I'm exhausted.

Damn it!

We don't usually swear, either.

Come on, Sharon, you can do it.

Next one's out of the park.

Come on, Sharon!

You got to swing no matter what, Sharon!

Pretend it's that boss that wouldn't give you that raise!

Thank you.

Good going!

Just open it.

Make your way to the next pit stop.

Next pit stop. Come on, girls.

All right, you guys, watch, watch, this is it.

Come on, guys.

Up here. Up here!

What's up, Phil?

Welcome to Panama.

Gracias.

Weaver family, you are team number two.

I'm so proud of you, Beth.

Oh, it's that sign up there, you guys. Sign up there.

Vamanos. Vamanos. Por favor.

Go as fast as possible 'cause there's a team in front of us.

The Bransens.

Let's take them down. Chop 'em.

Oh, no way. What?

Our road is blocked.

Can you go around?Just drive.

Oh, come on! We're losing our lead.

We're losing our lead. Come on, please!

We're last.

You guys, we're not out.

This might be a non-elimination,

so we're putting as many clothes on as we can.

It doesn't matter. We're either eliminated or we lose all our stuff.

That's right.Whoo, baby!

I'm dropping drawers. Drop the drawers.

Change them.

I got three bras on, girls.

We got to go out with a sense of humor if we're going out, girls.

That's right, girls.

Oh, come on.What is with this?

Of all to block, I tell you.

So maybe run up these stairs and go to the left.

Good eye, Lauren.

Thank you.Gracias.

Hurry up. There's a bus coming.

Let's get ready to go.Here are the locks.

This is a sprint to the pit.

Let's go.Straight ahead.

Come on, Dad.

Come on, Meg. Hot legs, hot legs.

Let's go, guys.They're coming.

Let's go.

Let's go up!

Is that it?Yes!

Bransen family, you're team number three.

Yeah! Whoo!

Excuse me. Nice job.

Linz family, you're team number four.

Hanging in there, baby.

That's like a roadblock.

I know. We're not having good luck today.

Please drive and go.

Good. Good. We're not out of this.

We are definitely on a roller coaster throughout this leg.

OK.

We're almost there, girls.

Oh, my God. It's warm under here.

She looks like a walking department store.

Miraflores Locks.

There it is, I see it.So this is it.

OK, right there! Hurry, hurry.

Backpacks on.

Let's go!

Wait, look, up there. Come on.

Right here.OK.

Look for the Philster.

Lookin' for the Philimenator!

Right here, baby.

Gaghan family, you're team number five.

Yeah!

Pass one team, baby.

Just one team each time. One team.

That's all we got to do.

There's Phil, girls.

Give it to us straight, Phil.

Godlewski family,

I'm sorry to tell you,

you're the last team to arrive.

We knew that.We knew that.

The good news is, this is a non-elimination leg.

And you're still in the race.

And you're dressed appropriately, it seems.

The bad news is, I need to take all your money from you.

That's all you're taking?

Is that it?

Yeah. All right.

Just so you know, you're not going to be receiving any money

at the start of the next leg of the race,

and you will be starting the leg with $ to your name.

OK.

In addition, I need to take all your possessions,

everything except the clothes on your back and your passports.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look?

Yes. Did you know it's illegal in Panama

to wear underpants on top of underpants on top of your pants?

You have to have a sense of humor on the race.

All of us have wits and charm and beauty

and all of those positive characteristics.

So we're going to rely on the kind-heartedness

of the people that live in Panama.

We're just hoping that they'll be wonderful

and we're gonna do what we need to do

to get us through the next leg of the race.

Phil: Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Phil: On the next episode of "The Amazing Race"...

Oh, my God.

Phil: Teams take a precarious journey into the rain forest.

Wally doesn't like heights!

Wow, this is beautiful.

Oh, my gosh, I'm scared.

Holy crap! That was so high.

Phil: And the Weavers get stuck.

You guys! I can't do this!

I'm sick of doing stuff I can't do!

Yo!
