04x06 - Cry of the Cat pt. 2

Post by bunniefuu »

- [ Growling ]
- Help me!

Larry!

Cut!
Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut!

Allie, Cry of the Cat is one of the
most successful books ever written.

This is going to make you a huge star.

- [ Cat Screeching ]
- No! [ Gasps ]

[ Grunts, Groans ]

Oh. Oh, no!

Hi. Uh, listen.

Something awful just happened.

Do you-- I mean,
did you have a brown cat?

- Rip?
- There was an accident.

I think I ran over him.

Rip's not like ordinary cats.

[ Loud Thunderclaps ]

The cabinet.
Go for the cabinet.

[ Growling, Screeches ]

[ Screams ]

Allison!
Honey, are you all right?

[ Moans ]
Rip. Rip's under there.

But it was right there.
I saw it!

What am I going to do?

- [ Ripping ]
- [ Screams ]

[ Snarling, Screeches ]

[ Screaming ]

Oh.

- What is she doing?
- [ Hisses ]

Allison?

Allison, stop!

- Allison?
- Get me an ambulance now!

Don't touch her.
Don't touch her.

[ Low Growling ]

- [ Moans ]
- Allison?

What's happening to her?

What's the matter?

Why is everybody looking at me?

[ Scoffs ]

- How did I get down here?
- [ Siren Wailing ]

Well, I can't figure this out.

According to every law
of physical science,

you should have
at least ten broken bones,

but there's nothing
wrong with you.

There's no fractures.
There's no pulled tendons.

- I can't even find a bruise.
- That's good, right?

So I can get out of here?
Ow!

- What was that for?
- Shh.

- It's just a little something to help you sleep.
- No. I don't wanna sleep.

Come on, Al.
You need your rest.

No. You don't understand.

[ Marta ]
Don't you worry, honey.

I called your mother at the spa,

and she'll be here just as soon
as that mud pack slides off.

But I can't sleep.

Rip will get me.

Please! Don't let him...

get me.

- [ Phone Rings ]
- Hello? Finally.

Don't let him...

[ Whispers ]
get me.

- [ Siren Wailing ]
- [ Moans ]

[ Quiet Growl ]

[ Moans ]

[ Quiet Snarling ]

- Got ya!
- [ Whining ]

It was just a dream.

Just a bad dream.

[ Distant Snarling ]

Thank you, nurse.

This is impossible.

Look at this. There's gotta be
some kind of a mistake here.

Get me the lab.

[ Woman On PA ] Dr. Morris to
X-ray, please. Dr. Morris to X-ray.

[ Sneezing ]

- Are you all right, nurse?
- Yes.

Yes. It's just funny.

The only thing
I'm allergic to is cat hair.

Alice, this is Dr. McDermid
up in pediatrics.

I just want to check
on something strange here.

I just got the blood tests back
on an Allison Rogers,

and I think there must be
some kind of a mistake.

- [ Woman ] What kind of mistake?
- The percentages are all wrong.

From what I can tell,
you tested the wrong blood.

- [ Alice ] I don't think so.
No, I'm sure you're competent, Alice.

It's just that, well,
this looks like cat blood.

Do me a favor and check it out
again for me, will ya?

Okay, Doctor.

Crystal?
Are you in there?

I need to talk to you.
Crystal.

[ Cat Howling ]

Crystal?

I know you're in here someplace.

I'm not leaving until I talk to you.

"Cats provide clue to flu"?

"Animal testing banned at university."

- I knew you'd come back.
- [ Gasps ]

What's going on, Crystal?

- What's happening to me?
- He scratched you, didn't he?

How did you know that?

It's... what he does.

This is your mother, isn't it?

She's a scientist. Let me talk to her.
She must know what's going on.

No.
You can't talk to her.

My mom doesn't like
to talk to people.

Well, then you ask her for me.

Ask her how Rip
can get hit by a bike,

have a cupboard dropped on him,
even fall out a window...

and still keep coming back.

That's three.

- Three what?
- Three times.

- That means he's used up eight lives.
- What are you talking about?

You have to be careful.
Stay away from him.

And whatever you do,
don't let him scratch you again.

Why?
What's he doing to me?

I told you--
Rip isn't an ordinary cat.

He's desperate now, Allison.
He only has one life left.

And he won't stop until he has yours.

Crystal, this is crazy.
Why does this cat want me?

Not you, Allison.
He wants your life force.

Rip isn't an ordinary cat,

but he still had nine lives,
and now he's almost run out of them,

so he's gotta find some way
to get 'em back.

Every time he scratches you,
a bit of your life goes into him,

and a bit of him goes into you.

Is that why I'm eating raw fish?

And the more he scratches you,
the worse it'll get.

- But how do I stop him?
- I don't know.

Mom and I tried,
but he just kept coming back.

You said he was desperate.

That means I have to get him...

before he gets me.

He must have a hiding place.

Somewhere he goes between lives.

Yeah, but that could be anywhere.

Could be, but it isn't.

He goes someplace
he remembers from his first life.

The first time he d*ed--
where did you bury him?

Up on Forta Hill.
The pet graveyard.

- Oh, no!
- What's wrong?

- Do you know that place?
- We're sh**ting there... tonight.

[ Woman ]
Cue the smoke!

It's up here. Come on.

Are you sure about this?

It's the only way
we can stop the monster.

We have to dig up his coffin
and destroy his bones.

But what happens
if he comes back before we, uh--

[ Nervous Chuckle ]
Well, before we can--

You mean,
before we can find his grave?

Yeah! Before we can find his--
Whoa!

- [ Larry ] Cut!
- [ Woman ] That's a cut.

Enough with the smoke.

- k*ll the smoke.
- k*ll the smoke.

Stupid thing.

Larry, how am I supposed to act when
you want me to walk at the same time?

Don't worry, darling.
You're doing a fabulous job.

Much better than that last girl--
Andrea.

Her name was Allison, Larry.

Let's not worry about that
right now.

[ Larry Sighs ]

I think we've got everything here.
Moving on!

Moving on!

[ Woman ] Okay, people.
We're setting up on the hill. Let's go!

Okay. Now, in this scene,
we finally dig up Fluffy.

- Where's Fluffy's gravestone?
- Right here, Larry.

What's it doing over there?
It's too far away.

I thought I told you people
I wanted it somewhere around here.

Just tell us where you want it,
Larry.

I'm telling you.
Right here!

Okay, people. Let's do it!

Let's do it!

[ Woman On Bullhorn ]
Number one, please.

[ Woman, Indistinct ]

We're rolling.

And--

- Cut! Cut, cut!
- Who said cut? Who said cut on my set?

Larry,
you've gotta stop sh**ting here.

Let me guess.
Or the evil cat spirit will come back...

And have us all for dinner?

- [ All Laughing ]
- Something like that, yeah.

I'll tell you what.

Why don't you go stand over there
and watch the show?

But, Larry, you don't understand!
Rip will come back again!

Actors!

- Roll it!
- We're rolling.

- [ Man ] Speed.
- Action!

How much further?

Keep digging.
It's gotta be down here somewhere.

- [ Thud ]
- Hey. I got it.

Oh!
[ Giggling ]

- Is this it?
- Yup.

- [ Laughing ]
- This is Fluffy.

Where are the bones?
Cut!

- Cut! Print.
- There were supposed to be bones in there!

You changed the gravestones,
Larry. That's not our coffin.

What?
So whose is it?

- [ Rumbling ]
- [ Man ] Hey, what's that?

Oh, I am so out of here!

[ Rumbling Stops ]

- Larry!
- Banacek!

- Not me, Larry.
- What the heck was that?

It was Rip.

- Oh, please!
- I don't get paid enough for this.

- [ Yells ]
- [ Screaming ]

[ Woman ]
Are you okay? Karen, grab that.

Keep rolling!

[ Screaming Continues ]

Come on!

Come on!

Run!

[ Snarling ]

[ Stomping, Snarling ]

- It's getting closer.
- Allison!

You'll be safe in here.

- Who's that?
- A friend.

Come on.

I gotta call my agent.

- This way. Mom will help you.
- "Mom"?

- She's a scientist.
- Yeah. Of course she is.

Mom? She's here.

Allison's here.

And she brought a friend.

We need your help.
It's about Rip.

[ Woman ]
I know all about Rip.

- [ Both Gasping ]
- You might say we're old friends.

- Oh, man.
- They're here for you, Rip.

- No!
- You ran over him, Allison.

You owe him.

Why?
Why are you doing this?

We didn't mean to hurt anyone.

I was trying to find a cure
for a deadly virus,

and since the cat's immune system
is so close to human,

they were my subjects.

But all the experiments failed.

All except Rip.

He turned into some
strange kind of monster.

He's not even
really a cat anymore,

but he kept coming back anyway.

- And scratching you.
- Yes.

I gave him my life,
and with each scratch,

I became a little more like him.

He wanted Crystal,

but I wouldn't allow it.

I gave up my life for her.

Now you don't have any left,
and that's why you need us.

Man, my agent is never
gonna go for this.

They're ready for you, Rip.
They're all yours.

- No! You can't do this!
- It doesn't hurt.

These scratches are deep,
but they don't bleed.

- [ Growling ]
- And we end up looking like you?

It's not so bad.

You get used to it after a while.

I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry.

Oh, man!

- Now what?
- There's gotta be some way out of this.

Now I know how mice feel.

Mice. Come on.

What?

- Distract him. Do something.
- Like what?

You're an actor.
Improvise.

Rip!

[ Growling ]

[ Snarling ]

Hey, Rip!

So, you, uh, like Shakespeare?

[ Roars ]

To be or not to be?

That is the question.

That is the question!

The question.

Like--

Hey, Rip.
Catch the mouse.

[ Snarling ]

[ Louder Snarling ]

[ Roaring ]

[ Gasps ]
Allison!

Rip! Let him go!

[ Screeching ]

It's the chemicals.
He swallowed the mouse.

Well, he's gonna blow.

[ expl*si*n ]

[ Sighs ]
Your leg.

It's no problem.

Hey!
What are you doing?

I just want to make sure.

[ Coughing ]

[ Coughing ]

It's over.

It's really over.

- Thank you.
- [ Chuckles ]

Thank you both.

Well--
[ Chuckles ]

[ Crystal's Mom ]
Well, bravo! Bravo.

That was totally great,
and a perfect way to break in our new TV.

Hey, who wants more popcorn?

- Sounds good to me.
- Sure.

I'll help you.

How 'bout some more soda?

Not only are they good actors,
they're excellent hosts.

At your service.

You know, the only thing
I didn't like about that movie--

- [ Hissing ]
- It didn't have a twist ending.

- I hate that.
- Yeah.

Me too.

[ Gasps ]

I love a good... twist ending.
