It was a sunny spring morning in Word World.

(alarm ringing, Frog snoring)

(gasps)

(croaks)

Oh, please, let this be the day.

NARRATOR: Frog had been counting the days

until his good friend Duck returned

from his winter vacation.

Yippee!

It is! It is!

Today is the day Duck comes home.

(whooping)

(croaks)

(snoring)

Great news, WordFriends!

Duck's coming home today!

He is?!

(overlapping chatter)

Duck's coming home!

Yeah, whoey!

Oh, I've missed Duck so much.

The sound of his quacking.

Yeah, and his silly jokes.

And the way he says, "Please, please, please, Frog!"

All the time.

Oh, I wish there was some way I could show him

how happy I am he's coming home.

Hey, you can make Duck a welcome home sign.

Oh, that's a great idea, Shark.

And I could hang it over his nest.

Duck will love that!

(exciting chatter)

He would be so happy to see that sign.

Then I'll do it.

I'll make Duck a welcome home sign.

(horn playing)

(grunting)

(drum playing)

♪ Let's give a cheer

♪ Hip, hip, horray

♪ 'Cause Duck is coming home today ♪

(tuba playing)

♪ I want to tell Duck he's the best ♪

♪ I'll hang this banner at his nest ♪

♪ He's almost here

♪ I watched the clock

♪ So I'll hop right over across this... ♪

Dock?

There goes the letter D.

Oops.

There goes the dock.

And I don't have any more letter Ds to build a new one.

I'm sorry, Frog.

This is all my fault.

It's okay, Shark.

I know you didn't do it on purpose.

But how am I going to get to Duck's nest without a dock?

(croaks)

Hmm. Maybe you could swim.

I don't know how to swim.

Hey.

Maybe you can ride over on my back.

I don't know, Shark.

That's a great idea.

Yeah. Yeah. So right.

Yeah. Give it a try.

All right, but I think you might be too...

(grunts and croaks)

I guess that won't work.

Oh! Duck's going to be here any minute.

What are we going to do?

(gasps) Wait a minute.

We still have the "ock" part of the dock.

The ock?

Oh, you mean the letters O-C-K.

Right. They make the ock sound,

and we can build lots of words with the ock sound.

Maybe we could build another word

to help you get to Duck's nest.

Hey, I got some letters in my mailbox.

Let's see here. What... Aha!

Hey, I found a letter S.

Well, the letter S makes the sss sound.

So, if we add sss to ock,

we get a...

KIDS: Sock!

A sock?

How am I supposed to get across the pond with a sock?

Hmm. Let me see that sock.

(overlapping chatter)

(grunting)

That sock sure is stretchy.

Hey, I got it!

We could use the sock as a slingshot

and sh**t Frog across the pond.

Yeah! Great idea!

Oh. What?!

Well, do you have a better idea?

and I still haven't made it over to Duck's nest.

(croaks)

I'm fine, but the block didn't work,

and I still haven't made it over to Duck's nest.

Yeah, but that was a great hop, though.

Yeah. If only you could hop across the whole pond.

Oh, well, I do happen to be something of a hopping expert.

But even I can't hop that far.

I'd need to land on something in between.

Hey, we could try to make something with ock.

Maybe we could make a-a... a rock.

A really big rock

in between the log and the nest.

Huh? Huh? Huh?

Maybe we could!

To make rr-ock,

we need a letter that makes the rr sound.

That's an R.

Do you have a letter R?

I'm on it.

Ah, let's see here, uh, if I got...

I sure hope he finds it soon,

because I think I see Duck coming!

(gasps)

I see him, too!

It's Duck.

He's almost here!

(croaks)

(grunting)

SHARK: Huh. It still looks pretty far.

But it's my only chance

to get to Duck's nest before he does!

(whimpers) Here I go.

(inhales deeply) Three!

(gasping)

(croaks and grunts)

The rock worked!

(cheering and whooping) He made it!

DUCK: Incoming!

Duck's almost here.

Quick, Frog, put up the banner.

(gasps) Put it up!

Oh! Quack! Quack!

Ah! Quack! Quack!

Welcome home, Duck!

♪ Let's give a cheer

♪ 'Cause Duck is finally home today ♪

♪ I want to tell you that you're the best ♪

♪ We put a rr in front of ock

♪ So Frog could hop from log to rock ♪

NARRATOR: Frog was so happy

to have his good friend home again.

I'm going outside to wash the windows.

♪ And make his log all neat (vacuum whirring)

(vacuum stops)

NARRATOR: Duck, you broke the letter "L,"

off Frog's lamp.

(gasps) Quack, quack.

Oh, what am I gonna do?

NARRATOR: Just tell Frog what happened.

He'll know what to do.

Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no.

He'll get mad.

NARRATOR: No, he won't, Duck.

You didn't do it on purpose.

It was an accident, and accidents happen.

(humming)

(croaking)

FROG: Oh, Duck.

Ah! Quack, quack, quack, quack.

(grunts)

(croaks)

Oh, hey, uh, Frog.

(croaks)

You're, uh, done washing the windows already?

(croaks)

I sure am.

Now, I just have to go and get some popcorn

for the movie tonight.

Oh, uh, that sounds good.

(croaks) I'll be back soon.

Oh, I need that "L" back to fix Frog's lamp.

(grunting)

I'm gonna give you to the count of three.

(frantic mumbling)

The "L"-- I gotta catch the "L."

Little dizzy here.

There's the "L."

What's going on, Duck?

Huh? Oh, uh,

I broke the letter "L" off Frog's lamp,

and now I have to fix it before he comes home.

The letter "L"?

I think I saw it fly over there.

(hums)

Hmm.

(buzzing)

Oh, I don't see the "L" up here, Duck, do you?

Oh, we need to look more closely.

Ooh, I know what to do.

We can use Frog's tele-thingy.

Hold on, Bug.

Quack, quack.

I got a bad feeling about this.

Ah, let's see if Frog's, uh, tele-thingy

can help me find the letter "L." Hmm.

It's called a telescope, Duck.

Are you sure you know how to use it?

(mumbling)

How hard can it be?

Um, hmm...

How do I turn this telescope on?

(gasps): Look, O-N.

Heh-heh.

That was easy.

Now, how do I get it to move?

Oh, let's try this lever.

(grunting)

(grunting and muttering)

NARRATOR: Duck, you broke another letter "L" off the "l-ever."

Oh! Gulp.

(yelling)

Whoa! (barking)

(screaming)

The telescope, make it stop!

(panting)

Hey, what happened, Duck?

I broke the "L" off this lever by mistake.

Uh-oh.

Well, I guess we'll just tell Frog what happened.

He'll know what to do.

He'll get mad.

(all shouting)

(barking)

DUCK: I found the letter "L" for the lamp.

(Frog croaking)

(croaking)

(speaking gibberish)

(gasps)

(grunting)

(croaking)

You ready to watch the movie?

Duck!

What happened to my log?!

Oh. That.

Well... (gulps)

NARRATOR: It's okay, Duck.

Tell Frog what happened.

Um... (quacks)

Well...

first I broke the "L" off your lamp.

As I was trying to fix it,

I broke off the "L" off the lever to your telescope.

So, then when I had to fix that,

then somehow I broke the "L" off your log.

And... that's when you... came home.

Then.

Oh.

Duck.

But I didn't mean to do it.

Any of it.

It was all a big accident.

Why didn't you just tell me

when you broke the lamp?

(sobbing): Because I thought

you'd be mad.

(crying and quacks)

Are you mad, Frog?

No, Duck.

I wouldn't be mad.

After all, accidents happen.

(crying): Oh!

I'm sorry, Frog.

It's okay, Duck.

It looks like all the letters are still here.

All we have to do is...
