OLIVE: [humming]

MR. RACCOON: Whoa whoa-whooa.
Tasty treats coming through.

ELINOR: Mmmmm.

MR. RACCOON: Oh, good morning
Ranger Rabbit, Elinor.

ELINOR: Hi

MR. RACCOON: Olive and Ari.

ARI: Hey! [sniffs]

Mmm, these donuts
smell so good.

[slurp]

MR. RACCOON:
Why thank you, Ari.

You're welcome
to have some...

Oh, if that's okay
with Ranger Rabbit.

RANGER RABBIT: [giggle]
Sure, go ahead kids.

KIDS: Yes! Yay! Awesome!

RANGER RABBIT:
Thank you, Mr. Raccoon.

ARI: Mmmmm... Hmm...

A-ha! Whoops!

MR. RACOON: Oh-[chuckle]

Now, how can I help you?

RANGER RABBIT: Well, we're out
getting supplies, Mr. Raccoon.

ELINOR: Because we're
going on a trip!

My mom is taking us
camping this weekend.

MR. RACCOON:
Oh, how exciting!

Where are you going?

RANGER RABBIT: We're
heading up to Hidden Lake.

OLIVE: We've never
been there before.

It's gonna be so
much fun.

MR. RACCOON: I'm sure
it will be.

Well, you came to
the right place.

I make the best baked
camping goodies in town.

Of course... I'm also
the only baker in town.

[laughs] Here ya go!

RANGER RABBIT: Thank you
Mr. Racoon.

ARI: Mmm, this
donut is so good.

I wish I could eat the
hole too!

OLIVE: Ari, you can't
eat the hole.

It's a hole!

KIDS: [laugh]

ELINOR: Hmm...

Mr. Raccoon, I've never
thought about this before.

But I wonder...

why do donuts
have holes?

MR. RACCOON:
Well, that's easy.

You see, they're baked
with the holes in them.

ELINOR: Yes, but why do
donuts have holes in them?

MR. RACCOON: Um,
Hmm... Uh...

That's a good
question, Elinor!

OLIVE: [chuckle] Yeah, Elinor is
really good at asking questions.

ARI: Yup, she's the best
question asker in the world.

RANGER RABBIT: Kids,
we should get going.

We still have more things
to get for our trip.

some fruit.

But, I also need to stop
at the Post Office...

from Ms. Llama, Ranger Rabbit.

RANGER RABBIT:
Ok, thanks, kids.

Post Office.

ELINOR: Hmm, I do ask
a lot of questions.

OLIVE: Yeah, remember that
time you asked Ms. Mole

so many questions, she
gave us extra recess...

so we could keep
exploring?

ELINOR: Ms. Mole, why
are trees so tall?

And why do fish swim?

And why do lizards
have such long tails?

MS. MOLE: [chuckles]
Oh, Elinor.

ELINOR: Those were
pretty good questions.

KIDS: [chuckle]

ELINOR: I wonder why I
ask so many questions?

OLIVE: Hmm...

OLIVE: C'mon, let's go.

ELINOR: [gasp]

[bird chirping]

ELINOR: I know I ask
a lot of questions,

but what is asking
questions good for?

ARI: Elinor, you're
the only bunny I know...

who can ask a question
about asking questions!

ELINOR: What's that, Mom?

RANGER RABBIT: It's a letter
from my old friend Beatriz.

Do you remember her?

ELINOR: Mmm, I
don't think so.

RANGER RABBIT: I think
she moved away...

when you were just a baby.

She's coming this way
to camp at Hidden Lake...

for a few days.

ELINOR: Hidden Lake?

That's where we're going!

RANGER RABBIT: Yes,
maybe we'll see her there.

Ok, should we continue
getting things for our trip?

ARI: Ranger Rabbit, are we
going to get marshmallows?

[frog croaks]
ARI: [gasp]

ARI: "Ribbit?"

OLIVE: It's a frog!

RANGER RABBIT: I wonder
what it's doing...

in the middle of town.

ELINOR: [gasp] I've never
seen a frog here before.

ELINOR: Mom,
can we follow it?

RANGER RABBIT: Sure, kids.

I'll go get the rest of
the things we need...

and then come find you.

Just keep a safe distance
and try not to scare it.

ELINOR: Thanks, Mom!

Let's follow that frog!

[♪♪♪]

[frog croaks]

ELINOR: Excuse me.

Sorry.

[♪♪♪]

MS. MOLE: [gasp]
Wow!

These illustrations
are so life-like!

[laughs]

[♪♪♪]

[frog croaks]

OLIVE: Whoa!
Nice jump!

ELINOR: Aww, cute!

It looks kinda...

lost.

ARI: This is where we
usually find frogs, but...

there's only one now.

OLIVE: And the creek
is really dry.

There's no water in it.

ELINOR: Maybe that's why
the frog was in town.

The creek is dry, so it
went looking for water.

OLIVE: Oh, I think I read about
this in my Nature book.

OLIVE: Most frogs like
ponds and creeks...

that have just the right
amount of water for them.

If there's too much
or too little...

from what they're used to,
they won't like it.

[frog croaks]

ELINOR: Aww,
poor little froggy.

I wonder where all
the water went.

[frog croaks]

ARI: Bye, froggie!

I hope you find a good,
wet frog spot.

RANGER RABBIT: Ah, I thought the
frog would come to this creek.

ELINOR: We followed it here,
but the creek is really dry.

RANGER RABBIT: Huh, it is
unusual for the creek

to be dry this
time of year.

I'll have Deputy Mouse
look into it later.

Oh, speaking of Deputy Mouse,
I should check in on him.

RANGER RABBIT:
Deputy Mouse...

Come in, Deputy Mouse.

[walkie-talkie static]

DEPUTY MOUSE: I hear you
loud and clear, Ranger Rabbit.

I'm here helping Mrs. Beaver
clear space for the new road

into town.

RANGER RABBIT: Did you
find the site ok?

DEPUTY MOUSE: Yes, it's
right near Hidden Lake.

There are a lot of bushes,
branches and sticks,

but Mrs. Beaver and her
crew are having.

no problem moving
them out of the way.

RANGER RABBIT: Ok,
good luck, Deputy Mouse.

Call me if any
problems come up.

DEPUTY MOUSE: Will do,
Ranger Rabbit.

RANGER RABBIT: I think
we have all the supplies

we need for the trip.

ARI: Did you get
marshmallows?

RANGER RABBIT: No,
unfortunately...

Mr. Hippo was out of
marshmallows.

ARI: No marshmallows!?

Uuuuhhhh...

RANGER RABBIT:
I'm sorry, Ari.

ARI: That's Ok!

I'm still excited to go.

Maybe I'll bring
extra pickles!

ELINOR: [laughs]

OLIVE: We can't wait to go
exploring, Ranger Rabbit.

RANGER RABBIT:
Wonderful, Olive.

We'll be leaving the house
bright and early

tomorrow morning.

ARI: We'll be there!

ELINOR: Mom, what time are Ari
and Olive coming tomorrow?

And how long will it take to
get to Hidden Lake?

ELINOR: Is it really
hidden?

What's it like there?

RANGER RABBIT: My, you do
ask a lot of questions.

Actually, you know who
you remind me of?

ELINOR: Who?

RANGER RABBIT:
My friend Beatriz.

She asked a lot of questions
when she was little, too.

ELINOR: Really?

RANGER RABBIT: Yup.

I hope you get to meet
her on our trip.

But now it's time
to sleep.

[muah]

ELINOR: Ok, Mom.

RANGER RABBIT: Good night, my
hunny bunny question asker.

MR. RABBIT: One more thing.

I made you a loaf of my
world-famous carrot cake.

RANGER RABBIT:

OLIVE: Elinor!

ELINOR: [gasp]

ARI: Explorers Olive and Ari
reporting for duty!

Ten-hut!

KIDS: [laugh]

MS. ELEPHANT: Hellooo!

MR. BAT: Good morning!

MR. RABBIT: Good morning.
RANGE RABBIT: Hi!

ARI: I can't wait to get
to Hidden Lake!

OLIVE: This is gonna be
such an amazing adventure.

MS. ELEPHANT: Now sweetie, do
you have everything you need?

You have your hat.

Do you have sunscreen?

Your jacket?

Your pillow?

OLIVE: Yes, Mom.

MS. ELEPHANT: Your blankie?

Your books?

Your notebook?

OLIVE: Yes, Mom...

I have everything.

MS. ELEPHANT: Ah, I guess
you're all ready to go.

ARI: Me too!

I'm super-ready to go!

MR. BAT: Are you sure, Ari?

Aren't you forgetting...

your favorite plushie?

ARI: Robin!

Oh, uh...

that's okay, Dad.

I don't think I

MR. BAT: Oh, OK...

ARI: Well, I don't really want
Robin to get lonely.

So, maybe he should

you kids are going to have...

a lot of fun this weekend.

ELINOR: How long will it
take to get there, Mom?

RANGER RABBIT:
Oh, not long.

We should get to Hidden
Lake by the afternoon.

MR. RABBIT: Hmm...

Oh, do you have the map?

RANGER RABBIT: Yup,
I have it right here.

ELINOR: Can we hold
on to the map, Mom?

RANGER RABBIT: Sure kids,

you could be the
official map guides.

ARI: Awesome!

ELINOR: Cool!

RANGER RABBIT: Okay, I
think we're all set to go.

MR. RABBIT:
Have a fun trip!

[muah]

MR. BAT: Have fun!

MS. ELEPHANT: Bye sweetie.

ELINOR: [gasp] Wait, we need
to say the Explorer's Pledge.

OLIVE: Yeah!
ARI: Okay!

KIDS: An Explorer is brave.

An Explorer is kind.

An Explorers is curious.

Who knows what we'll find!

ELINOR: Let's go explore!

I don't think I've ever been
this far into the forest before.

RANGER RABBIT: Here it is,
the trail to Hidden Lake.

KIDS: Whoooaaaa.

ELINOR: I wonder
what we'll find?

OLIVE: Are we going to
see new animals or bugs?

ELINOR: Or maybe
new plants?

RANGER RABBIT: Those are
great questions, kids.

ELINOR: [gasp]
Ari! Olive!

I think I figured
out one thing...

that asking questions is
good for.

ELINOR: Exploring!

Whenever we go exploring,
it's usually because we were

wondering about something.

OLIVE: Yeah, like what
are we going to find?

ARI: Or what are we
going to discover?

RANGER RABBIT: Huh,
you're right, Elinor.

Exploring often starts
with a question.

ELINOR: [gasp] Then let's
go ask more questions!

[♪♪♪]

KIDS: ♪ What's beyond that tree,
you might want to know. ♪

♪ It all starts with asking,
where should I go? ♪

♪ Or you might want to
ask, who will I meet? ♪

♪ It's all there for you,
just ask and you'll see! ♪

OLIVE: Okay, that's
where we're going.

Hidden Lake.

ELINOR: Look, there's a
river that goes into it...

and a river that
goes out of it...

all the way to Animal Town.

ARI: Hey wait a minute!

That's the creek where
we followed the frog.

ELINOR: And there's
a smaller creek...

that goes near the
trail we're on.

OLIVE: And that's where we have
to turn to get to the lake.

RANGER RABBIT: How are you
doing with the map, kids?

ARI: We're right on track,
Ranger Rabbit.

OLIVE: Yeah, we just
keep walking and then...

turn when we get
to a creek.

RANGER RABBIT: Okay!

ELINOR: Mom, did you say I
knew Beatriz when I was little?

RANGER RABBIT: Yup.

Beatriz and I have been friends
for a long time, Elinor.

In fact, I used to baby-sit
her when she was little.

ELINOR: Aww, really?

RANGER RABBIT:
You'll really like her.

She's an Inventor.

Inventors come up with new
things that solve a problem

or help you do something.

KIDS: Ohhh!
Awesome! Wow!

ARI: That is so cool.

Can she invent a marshmallow
making machine?

ALL: [laughs]

OLIVE: I wonder if she can
invent a drawing machine.

ELINOR: But Olive, you
already are a drawing machine.

ARI: Yeah. You draw
all the time.

KIDS: [giggle]

OLIVE: You're right, I do.

ARI: [efforts]

RANGER RABBIT: Hmmm, I don't
remember this part of the trail

on the way to Hidden Lake.

ELINOR: Uh oh.

RANGER RABBIT: Can you
check the map, Olive?

OLIVE: We were supposed
to turn at the creek.

ELINOR: Hmmm.

I didn't see a creek.

ARI: Don't worry Robin,
we'll figure it out.

RANGER RABBIT: Hmm...

I'm sure we
just missed it.

Let's turn back.

[branch snaps]

ELINOR: What was that?

OLIVE: [gasp]
It's coming closer.

ARI: I'm so glad
you're here, Robin!

[toy squeak]

RANGER RABBIT: Hello?
Is someone there?

BEATRIZ: Oh, hello!

RANGER RABBIT: Beatriz??

BEATRIZ: [gasp]
Ranger Rabbit!?

I can't believe t!

RANGER RABBIT: [chuckle]
It's so good to see you!

BEATRIZ: [chuckle]

Kids, this is Beatriz.

BEATRIZ: Hello!

all grown-up now!

I haven't seen you since
you were a little baby bunny!

ELINOR: [giggles]
Hi!

BEATRIZ: Oh, and
who do we have here?

ARI: I'm Ari!

Oh...

OLIVE: And I'm Olive.

BEATRIZ: Well, it's great to
meet ya, Ari and Olive.

ARI: So you
invent things?

BEATRIZ: Haha, yep!

I'm an inventor.

ARI: Hmm...

BEATRIZ: I invented
this for example.

BEATRIZ : And this!

KIDS: [gasp]
Whoa! Cool!

BEATRIZ: Yup!

I'm so glad I ran into you,

but what are you doing
all the way out here?

RANGER RABBIT: [sigh]
I think we took a wrong turn.

We were headed for the
camping area near Hidden Lake.

BEATRIZ: Ah, that's
where my camp is set up.

[gasp] Do you want to
camp together?

KIDS: Okay!
Yes please! Yeah!

BEATRIZ: Hmm... You were
supposed to turn at the creek.

Huh... [gasp]

I bet I know why
you missed it.

Come on.

RANGER RABBIT:
Ah, I see.

We missed the creek
because it's dry,

but... that's odd.

Creeks shouldn't be dry
this time of year.

BEATRIZ: I did notice
that a lot of the creeks...

on this side of
the lake are dry.

ELINOR: And we saw a dry
creek in Animal Town too.

RANGER RABBIT:
You're right, Elinor.

RANGER RABBIT: Huh...
BEATRIZ: Hmm...

BEATRIZ: Well should we go
back to the camp site?

KIDS: Sure! Ok! Yeah!

RANGER RABBIT: What brings
you to Hidden Lake, Beatriz?

BEATRIZ: Oh, I'm here to
get ideas from Nature...

for my inventions!

ELINOR: Ideas from Nature?

BEATRIZ: Oh, yes!
Nature is full of ideas!

For example, I got the
idea for this part...

When I was studying butterflies
in the jungle last summer...

BEATRIZ: I was out
exploring when I noticed,

butterflies have a long
mouth called a proboscis

that rolls up,
and I thought,

what a great way to
store something long!

BEATRIZ: But then
I thought, whoa,

how can I use it
to grab things?

So I looked for ideas in Nature,
and I learned that bird beaks

are really strong and good
for grabbing things,

so I made this part
just like a bird beak.

KIDS: Awesome! Cool!

RANGER RABBIT: Beatriz
was just like you, Elinor,

when she was a little girl.

She loved to ask
lots of questions...

ELINOR: Really?
Like me?

BEATRIZ: Yes,
and I still do.

Look!

And here we are,
Hidden Lake.

KIDS: Wow!
Ooooh!

BEATRIZ: Follow me
to the campsite!

ARI: Wow, I don't think
Beatriz could be any cooler!

BEATRIZ:
Oh, by the way,

I brought way too many
marshmallows with me.

Do you want to help
me eat them?

ARI: Ok, I was wrong.

Beatriz just got
way cooler.

KIDS: [laugh]

[♪♪♪]

[geese honking]

OLIVE: And they didn't
hear a sound...

But then, when they
opened the door...

ARI: [gasp]

OLIVE: It was just a
friendly butterfly.

ARI: Phew...

Ow.

OLIVE: [giggles]

RANGER RABBIT:
Great story, Olive.

BEATRIZ: Here you go, Ari.

ARI: Thanks!

ELINOR: What are you going
to invent next, Beatriz?

BEATRIZ: Oh, I'm glad
you asked, Elinor.

I'm trying to invent a new
kind of sticky tape.

So I'm here to get
ideas from frogs.

OLIVE: Oh,
we love frogs!

ELINOR: But...
Why frogs?

BEATRIZ: Because of
their tongues!

Mmmmm!

KIDS: [laugh]

BEATRIZ: Frogs have
very special tongues.

Oh, I know!

Why don't you come with me to
observe them tomorrow.

KIDS: Really?
Cool!

BEATRIZ: You do know
how to observe, right?

ELINOR: Yup! Observing
means using your senses,

like looking and listening, to
notice and learn about things.

BEATRIZ: That's right!

RANGER RABBIT:
Sounds like a plan.

Let's get some
rest now.

ARI: Yes!

ELINOR: This has been
an awesome trip so far, Mom.

I can't wait
until tomorrow.

RANGER RABBIT: Oh,
I'm glad, hunny bunny.

Have a good sleep.

ELINOR: ♪ Who knows

♪ It might be someone,
who wonders like me. ♪

BEATRIZ: [yawn]

I've never seen someone
put marshmallows...

on their pancakes before.

ARI: Hmmm...
I think this might be...

my greatest invention.

KIDS: Ribbit!

ARI: Umm...
What are you doing?

ELINOR: We're practicing!

OLIVE: Yeah, for when Beatriz
takes us to observe frogs today.

BEATRIZ: Ribbit! Ribbit!

ARI: Ooh, I want
to be a froggy.

KIDS: Ribbit!

ARI: Thanks!

ELINOR: Wait...

if we're all frogs, then
who's observing us?

BEATRIZ: How about
you observe me...

ELINOR: Jump,
froggy, jump! [giggle]

RANGER RABBIT: Huh, where
should I put these to dry?

BEATRIZ: I have an
idea, Ranger Rabbit.

Let's put up a
drying line.

RANGER RABBIT:
Ah, but...

I used the last of my
rope for the tents.

BEATRIZ: That's
not a problem!

BEATRIZ: Take your pick!

KIDS: Wow! Cool!

RANGER RABBIT:
Hmm... there.

DEPUTY MOUSE: Ranger Rabbit...

come in, Ranger Rabbit.

RANGER RABBIT:
Hello, Deputy Mouse.

Is everything ok?

How is the road project?

DEPUTY MOUSE: Well, we've been
clearing up the sticks...

and branches to make room
for the new road, but...

we found a
really big log.

[efforts]

[sighs]

RANGER RABBIT: Oh, dear.
How big is it?

DEPUTY MOUSE: It's too
big for us to move.

ELINOR: Well, why does the frog
stick out its tongue like that?

How does the frog stick
its tongue out so fast?

OLIVE: I think I saw
how it did it!

OLIVE: The tongue
bent backwards first...

before it came out of
the frog's mouth.

BEATRIZ: Great observation,

You're right, the frog
bends its tongue back,

and then uses its muscles
to throw it at the bug.

ELINOR: Wow, Nature
really is full of ideas.

BEATRIZ: Well, I got a lot of
amazing observations today,

[sigh] but I do wish there
were more frogs.

OLIVE: Yeah, Ranger Rabbit said
there'd be lots of frogs here.

ELINOR: I wonder...
Where did all the frogs go?

ELINOR: Hmm...

Beatriz, back in Animal Town,
we saw a green frog

that was lost because
the creek was really dry.

ELINOR: But it's
not dry here.

The plants sort of look
like they're under water.

OLIVE: Could that
be the problem?

Maybe there's
too much water?

OLIVE: Most frogs like places
with just the right amount...

...of water for them.

They get used to it, and
if it changes too quickly,

they don't like it.

ELINOR: That's it!

Maybe there's too much
water for the frogs,

and that's why
they're not here.

ARI: Yeah, I wouldn't like it if
my house filled up with water.

But then again,
I'm not a frog.

BEATRIZ: Huh,
you might be right.

It looks like all this
extra water is new,

and that would explain why
there aren't any frogs.

BEATRIZ: But where is
the water coming from?

OLIVE: [gasp]... could it
be coming from the lake?

BEATRIZ: Hmmm...
But why?

OLIVE: Aww, poor frogs.

If this is their home, then
where are they going to go?

ELINOR: Hmm...

We have to help
the frogs.

where all this water

But, the kids and I have
discovered a problem.

of sticks in the lake...

and they're blocking the
water from going to the river.

explain why the creeks were dry.

BEATRIZ: Yes, and it's also
causing the Frog Bog to flood.

you're moving a lot of sticks

for the new road?
