- [babbling] One plus one equals two.

- Hmm. Interesting.

- As you can see, we'’ve added one...

- Oh, hi.

Norville and I are playing school.

He'’s the teacher-- Mr. Norville.

- [clears throat] As I was saying,

and one plus two equals three.

- [giggles] And I'’m the student.

That'’s why I'’m sitting at this desk

and writing with this pen.

Today all the magic words have the "eh" sound

and the letter E in them.

So I made a desk and a pen...

[bell rings]

And that bell.

Excuse me!

Mr. Norville?

- Huh? - The school bell just rang.

You know what that means?

- [gasps] Playtime?

- Playtime! - Playtime, whoo-hoo!

- Mr. Norville loves playtime.

- Yeah, uh-huh. Yeah.

- Hi, we'’re having a sleepover in our clubhouse.

Come on in.

My friends are here for the sleepover.

We'’re gonna be here all night.

We already ate popcorn and read a story,

and now we'’re playing "Duck, Duck, Goblin."

- Duck,

duck,

duck,

goblin!

- Ha-ha! I'’m always the goblin.

Whoo-hoo-hoo! - [giggling]

- Got you! [all giggling]

- That was great.

Let'’s play another-- [yawns]

Ooh, sorry.

I'’m getting sleepy. - Really?

I'’m not sleepy at all-- [yawns]

[giggles] Okay, I guess I am.

[all yawning]

- Same here.

- [yawns] Me too.

Looks like it'’s time to go to sleep.

We already brushed our teeth and put on our pajamas.

- Yeah. - Yep, uh-huh.

- Bobgoblin'’s pajama hat can even glow in the dark.

Red, blue, pink,

green, rainbow.

- Whoa, neat hat, Bobgoblin.

Now all we need are the sleeping bags.

So who brought them?

[all murmuring] - Oh, I thought you were...

- [gasps] Uh-oh.

Nobody brought the sleeping bags.

We don'’t have anywhere to sleep.

- Ooh, maybe we can find something to sleep on,

like a cot.

- Or a couch

or a bed.

- [gasps] Wait. Bed.

Bed.

Today all the magic words have the "eh" sound

and the letter E in them.

B...ed.

Does bed have the "eh" sound in it?

Yeah, it does.

I can make us a bed.

- And we'’ll call it Ted.

all: Ted?

- Of course.

Bobgoblin names all of his furniture.

I have Champ the Lamp, Mabel the Table,

Yvette the Dinette Set, so if we make a bed,

we have to name it Ted.

- [laughs] Ted the Bed.

That is pretty funny.

And Ted has the "eh" sound in it.

- [gasps] Yeah, make it, Wally.

- Yeah! - Make the bed!

- All right, let'’s do it.

Wallykazam! Wallykazed!

We can sleep on...

Ted the Bed!

[triumphant fanfare]

- Hey, everybody! I'’m Ted the Bed!

- Whoa, it worked.

Hi, Ted, I'’m Wally, and these are my friends.

Norville... - Hello.

- Libby Light Sprite... - Hi-ya.

- Ogre Doug... - Hi.

- And I'’m Bobgoblin.

Pleased to meet you, Bed.

- It'’s nice to meet you guys too.

So what are we doing tonight?

- Well, we'’re having a sleepover and...

- A sleepover?

Oh-ho-ho-ho, boy!

You can have lots of fun at a sleepover.

What should we do first?

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh! We could read a story.

Or eat some popcorn.

- Um, we already did those things.

- Or we could play "Duck, Duck, Goblin."

- Ooh, we did that too.

- I was the goblin.

- Or how about a pillow fight?

Ha!

[both giggling]

- [gasps] Or...

we could play outside!

[laughs] This is great.

What a night!

- No, Ted come back! - Um, Ted!

- [laughs]

- Or look at the stars or maybe--

all: Ted!

- Oh, sorry, were you trying to say something?

- Ted, we already did a lot of those things.

Now we'’re tired.

[all yawning]

- Uh-huh. - We really are.

- So tired.

- That'’s why we made you.

We needed somewhere to sleep.

- Oh, I see.

- Um, what'’s wrong, Ted?

- [sighs] It'’s just...

beds never get to have fun at sleepovers.

Nobody ever plays games with beds

or reads stories with beds.

They just want to sleep on us.

[sighs] Well, come on.

Let'’s go to sleep.

- Oh, I'’ve never seen a bed

all: Yeah.

- Hey, what do you think--

should we play one quick game with Ted?

We got to find somewhere to hide.

- [barks] Ooh!

Can you see me?

- Yeah, I think we need a better hiding spot, buddy.

Ooh, maybe I can make us something to hide in.

Like, um, uh,

a shell.

Does shell have the letter E in it?

Yeah, it does,

and it has the "eh" sound.

Sh...ell.

We can hide in a big shell.

[triumphant fanfare]

- [barks] Whoo-hoo!

- Three, two, one!

- Quick, shut the shell.

- Ready or not, here I come!

Oh, boy, oh, boy. Okay, let'’s see, let'’s see.

Where could everyone be hiding?

Hmm, maybe behind that rock!

Or in that bush!

Or... [gasps]

Under the bed?

Ha!

Nope.

Huh, no one there.

- [whispering] Ted doesn'’t see us.

Speaking of which, where is that guy?

- I don'’t know.

Of course, you guys aren'’t beds.

Ah, but that'’s all right.

- [laughs]

They think I'’m hiding in the woods,

but, no, I'’m not.

Bobgoblin is actually hiding in the pillows.

- Huh? What was that?

Eh, nothing.

All right, guys,

let'’s go find that goblin.

- Bobgoblin!

Wow, we can'’t find him anywhere.

[all yawning]

- Uh-uh. - Uh-uh.

- And we'’re getting really tired.

[all yawning]

- Uh-huh.

- We can'’t go back to the clubhouse

and go to sleep until we find him, so...

maybe we should split up to find him faster.

- Oh, yeah, Ogre Doug and I can check that way.

- Great, and remember: Bobgoblin'’s wearing

a glow-in-the-dark pajama hat.

Just look for glowing things.

- You got it. - Good luck, my friends.

- Okay, let'’s see.

Just look for glowing things.

Glowing things, glowing--

[gasps] Oh, hey!

Maybe we can ask that glowing thing

if it'’s seen any glowing things.

- [gasps]

Ted, that glowing thing is a glowing thing!

- [gasps] Well, tuck me in, it is!

- [gasps]

- That must be Bobgoblin in his pajama hat.

After him!

- [barking] - Let'’s go.

Uh-oh. He ran down the hill.

- We need to get down there fast.

Hmm, if only we had a wagon or a sled.

Wait, wagon or sled?

Which word has the sound "eh" in it?

"Wagon" or "sled"?

Yeah, "sled"!

We'’ll go down the hill

in a sled!

[triumphant fanfare]

- Whoa! Ted the Bed is on a sled!

- Yep, now hang on.

all: Whoo-hoo! Whoa!

- Whoo! [laughing]

Whoo, boy!

No bed has ever done this before.

[laughs] Whoa-ho-ho-ho!

Whoo! - Ooh!

There'’s the glow!

- Yeah.

- Uh-oh, he just turned left.

- Ooh, left. Left.

Does "left" have the "eh" sound in it?

Yeah, it does.

We can go left too.

Left!

- Whoo! - Yeah!

- Look, the glow is right ahead of us.

It went behind that rock.

- Oh, time to stop.

Hit the brakes!

- Uh, Ted, sleds don'’t have brakes.

- Oh.

Then do something else!

- [barks] - Ooh, I know.

Magic stick, give me a word.

Thanks! Can you help me read this word?

N...et.

N...et.

What word is that?

Yeah, net!

That'’ll stop us.

Net!

all: Whoa!

- Oh! - Oof!

- Phew, we stopped. - Phew.

- And there'’s the glow.

Aha! We found you, Bob--

Night Dragon?

- Oh, you look nice. How you been doing?

- Oh, hi, Norville. Good. How about you?

- Oh, the glow was coming from our friend Night Dragon.

- Yeah!

- All right, Norville.

Nice to see you, Night Dragon.

- You too. Later, Norville.

Bye-bye! - Bye-bye!

- Have a good night!

Wow, I can'’t believe

I got to see a Night Dragon.

Wait till my Aunt Bedna hears about this.

- [laughs] Come on, guys.

We still have to find Bobgoblin.

- Yes, you do, Wally Trollman,

but you never will, oh, no, no,

because he won'’t think to look

in the pillows.

[laughs]

I am so comfy.

- [yawns]

- Aw, I know you'’re sleepy, buddy...
